WE ARE A HUB FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Highlighted List of Partnerships and Supports!

  • Follow Us to Success
    • SAT and PSAT prep courses along with learning materials and additional one-on-one mentoring have helped our students as they embark on the journey of applying for college. The Trail Blazers program has also helped expose juniors and seniors to more resources around leadership development and project-based learning.
  • Food Bank for NY
    • Through a partnership with Food Bank for NYC the International School for Liberal Arts became the first public high school in the history of the Bronx, NY to host a static modelled pantry distribution. Currently we serve a total of approximately 320 families per month. Also, through this program ISLA is now a central SNAP center through ACCESS NYC.
  • Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC)
    • As our main partnering organization which leads the SONYC (Schools Out NYC) initiative for our middle school students, KHCC has exposed our student population to out-of-school programs such as yoga, zumba, art, video game creation, robotics, homework help and sports.  Additional mental health supports have been extended through for middle school students through a partnership with Early RAPP and for parents via the K.H.C.C. Parenting Journey Program.
  • SUNY North Bronx
    • The State University of New York has connected with ISLA in the capacity of offering free Microsoft Certification, college trips and free financial literacy workshops for ISLA students.
  • Go! Sports USA
    • Go! Sports USA has delivered in-person skate classes and national skate instructor certification courses for our most seasoned students. This organization has also supported trips and sports centered grants for our school!
  • Go! Media USA
    • Although Go! has championed a sports platform catered to our student needs, they have also switched gears towards the virtual aspects of media. Through this partnering component, Go! Media has hosted our virtual graduation during the pandemic and lead a number of student projects related to media initiatives.
  • Young Life
    • Young Life has extended the amazing resource of mentorship and supports while connecting our students to programs such as performing arts via PURE Creative Arts and coding via Code For Life.
  • College Bridge Cafe
    • We now have an awesome partnership with College Bridge Cafe who has focused on supporting students and parents during their journey to college. Free FAFSA workshops are conducted through the Hispanic Federation and additional programs designed to expand college readiness are incorporated throughout the school day.
  • Unlocal
    • We have been very fortunate to have on-boarded Unlocal as a main partnership who have created a system designed to support immigrant students and families through legal supports and FREE workshops. Cultural sensitivity workshops for school staff and leadership programs for students have also been introduced at ISLA through the ImmSchools program.
